Minty and Cinnamon

Good Sunday Everyone!
Starting 2020 with a new post, this time I share with you Minty and Cinnamon - The tiny mice, a design by Carla Mitrani. Crocheted with 100% mercerized cotton thread size 10, I also used a 1.5 mm hook. They are only 3.5 inches tall and fit perfectly in an Altoids tin. Aren't they cute?

If you are challenged by the Puff, Popcorn, Raspberry or Bobble stitch then here is an alternative, "the Bubble  Pop Stitch". It was a little hard to me to find the exact tension with the hook, to make it soft and puffy, but I am so happy with the final result.  I started  from one corner increasing in each row, in both sides, until  I got the desired size, continued decreasing in one side making a rectangle shape. The border was crocheted with shell stitch all around and embellished with white ribbon. Great for a baby boy or baby girl. Hope you like it!
